Pygmy Dragons (General)
In addition to the well-known breeds of pygmy dragon (incompletely listed Here), there are, of course, the originating breeds of dragon from which all breeds of Pygmy Dragons came. While not all full-sized breed of dragons produce many Pygmy Dragons - and indeed in some (such as River or Canyon Dragons, the size variance is such that there are none truly deemed “pygmy dragons” or Webbed Water Dragons which are naturally both small and highly intelligent) produce none at all, these progenitor breeds are still considered the base stock of all Pygmy Dragons and must be considered when one wishes to obtain a Pygmy Dragon.
Below one might find a list of the traits of such pygmy dragons, both how they differ from their progenitor breed, and the traits they tend to pass on when hybridised to make new breeds, listed in alphabetical order with the Traditional Scamander Dragons followed by the Secondary Dragon breeds. If a Dragon breed is not included on this list it is safe to assume it does not - or at least is not known to - produce Pygmy Dragons, or is of such a size that it can be bred with Pygmy Dragons naturally.
